Confused about an incubator

A class at the school I work at is hatching eggs and below is the incubator they have (A2370 HOVA-BATOR). They set it all up, and I gave them eggs. However, I'm a little confused about the egg turner. It doesn't look like the turner in my incubator at home, or any of the ones I've seen. The little black mat in the second picture is apparently supposed to be the turner. For anyone who has this incubator, does this appear to be right?

Looks fine to me! One of my incubators has a similar turner. The designs used for them can vary greatly.
