Confused about eggs- Got a couple softies!

I guess Im not sure when the ducks start laying anyhow ...theyre May 23rd babies so Im thinking they would be starting anytime.

My pekins that were hatched April 29th just started laying consistently about 3 weeks ago. They will either start laying like crazy or may wait. I too had some soft shelled eggs randomly dropped in strange places both last year and this year. I had new layers both years. Mine ended up working out the kinks. You are already providing them with oyster shell so that is great.
