Ok I really need to know if LJ is a drake as I only have one female. He does not have a tail curl but is much quieter than Mylo. She will lie flat in the water and he 'head Bob's over her, would two females do this as well?

I can sympathize with the confusion. My hopefully four hens are showing all sorts of mating behaviors. It's making me second guess their sexes, when they'll start laying eggs etc. I'm hoping they get through this transition period fast so I can feel more confident in caring for them.

I have one drake and 11 females and my females all do the mating dance with each other constantly. My drake gets some action but mostly the females are getting their ducky groove on with each other. Weirdo ducks.

Lol! Just wish I knew for sure! His tail feathers have fallen out so hopefully when they grow back I'll have some idea. Mylo is the only one who lies flat and he does the head bobbing.

Yes it's weird not knowing for sure! I'd like to get two more or maybe hatch some but don't want to upset the apple cart lol. If LJ is a boy I'll get him at least another girl I think! :)
