We had this Sussex as a male, based on saddle feathers. But he hasn't grown in months, is the same size as the female Sussex from his hatching batch. Has not crowed or mounted anyone. Comb and wattles are the same size as the female also. He is 24 weeks old.
But we have seen more than one rooster mount him. So now we are worried we were wrong. We did see there can be an issue where if an ovary is damaged then a hens hormones can get wacky and develop some male traits like saddle feathers. Could this be it?? Please help

I would isolate the chicken and give it extra food and water. Roos living together is very hard. It can be done, but it's not great for the weaker ones.
