Today he has perked up a little! Had eyes open when I went to check him. Make some soft cooing sounds and wanted out of the cage. He came out and drank some water and took a peck at food without being forced! Things are looking up. I hope he keeps moving in the right direction

Just wanted to give an update. The rooster seemed to be getting better slowly. More active and alert. eating and drinking on his own. He was fine yesterday evening when I checked him before bed. I don't know what happened, but he passed away over night. I now think there may have been more wrong with him that I first thought. Thank you everyone for your kind words and sugesions.
