Confusing crop

The injury to his ear got washed out immediately and treated with topical polysporn. It appears to be clean and healing well do I don't think its infected?

I'm glad. We had a baby goat that died from ear infection, we didn't realize that was the problem soon enough. We had just gotten it and for some reason it came with both ears chopped off. It just made me think of that. I'm sure you took very good care of the ear. Good luck!

Sorry about your goat! That's terrible! I have a bit of experience treating wounds with animals as I deal with a lot of livestock and my husband also has medic training so I'm not super worried about the ear. I'm sure its sore still but I'm worried something more serious is wrong with him. I'm relatively new to chicken keeping and haven't dealt with any sickness until now and I'm very worried about him!

I wonder if he is just recovering from the bullying?
I jut figured he should be acting more normal by now if he was just a little picked on? The no interest in food or water really has me concerned
