Congratulations BYC! 8,000 Members!

I just did a search...59 pages with members that have 6 or more posts. 5,100 members have five or less posts, most of them with 0.

The really active members make up the first 20 pages of people. That is exactly 1,000 people.

Just in the very first few pages, eight of the top posters on the site have been banned.

And?

So you are saying that people who have not posted much or not at all don't count?
Everyone counts.
As for the banned ones, like has been said ad nauseum, people not involved don't know half of what goes on behind the scenes, nor should they, as it is none of their business.

About a 100 of those members with 0 posts are my Ghostnics. In case I get banned I like to have a few backups already blended in.

I think what she is saying is that there is less than 1,000 active members here at BYC.

And I don't see anywhere is Seminole's post where she said those posters don't count. She was just analyzing the stats IMHO

I reread my post and I can assure you that I did not say that people who have not posted much don't count.
But I DO have a problem with someone with 0 posts being considered a member.
I never said that banned people are my business. I was talking NUMBERS, and did not get PERSONAL in any way shape or form, so please don't make this personal, it is not personal towards any members.

These are all relative numbers... relative to almost any other forum.

The term "Member" can be interpreted a million different ways in many contexts, but on 99% of online forums, a member is someone who provides an email address and signs up... regardless of how often or how many times they post.

Again, it is all relative and we're doing apple to apple comparisons, i.e., this month on BYC to last month on BYC... or BYC compared to www.TheEasyGarden.com, or BYC compared to ezBYC.

So, the numbers are valid, are relevant, and are accurate.
