Noodles is the only chicken who lets me watch her lay. She doesn't mind, and after that, we have cuddles!

Yesterday, I found a very tiny little egg on the top "nest box". Thor was sitting next to it.
I assumed it was hers, ignoring all the clues that Noodles has been giving out, telling me she would lay soon.
Of course, I rushed onto BYC to congratulate her. And now I am here, feeling idiotic, as I just watched Noodles lay an egg in the eggsact same place as I found the egg yesterday.
It was not Thor.
And now I feel so bad that Thor got all the attention yesterday. Noodles got loads right now.

So, you can laugh at me being stupid, but most importantly, you have to congratulate my lap baby!

Congratulations Noodles, I'm sorry I thought it was Thor!

Thats so funny and i have mistakenly congratulated a hen for an egg that wasnt hers as well. At the end of the day they are all so loved and prized egg layers

I have a group of chickens I from Meyers with a May 23 hatch date. My first chicken to lay was a few weeks ago, Brown Leghorn, white egg. Now my BCM is the second to lay.

I was really looking forward to her egg, and I didn't think she would have laid so soon, the BCM hen is on the small side. (Egg is also, but that is normal for her first.) I am hoping her "shipmates" will all start laying soon, but it has been cold. (6 this morning.)
