I have 2 other ideas for you to think about -
It would be good if he could start exercising his wings by flapping vigorously. The sling as designed for chickens does not allow full range of motion. If you watched the flight suit video you saw how the wings go through the "arm holes" and it closes with velcro over the back like a harness. A 'leash' type strap can be attached to the top/back and run up and over a wooden dowel to suspend him in this way would allow him to flap his wings and kind of bounce up and down. I don't know if you could make your own if ordering online is difficult. I didnt realize you weren't in USA.

I assume he did not learn to fly if he didnt even walk?

i’m literally crying my dear —he has spent the two last hours grooming himself.

i’m unstoppable with my sawing machine so yes, i’ll also try that!!!

hey hey hey my friend! thanks for asking! i saw your post a couple of days ago but had a deadline to meet and didn’t have the time.

el cojo is doing GREAT.

just by chance the other day i found a shop specialised in cockfighting roosters and it’s AMAZING all the products they have there. so i got more antibiotic to fight the infection and whatever it’s what he has, i got two things for the mites —a shampoo and something for the water but i can’t read the language yet so i need someone to translate for me the dosage and i also got THE BEST AND MOST ENERGETIC food ever —i had to leave one of my kidneys at the shop in order to pay for it but hey, you can survive with just one.

meanwhile his good leg has become much more stronger and somehow the bad leg doesn’t stretch backwards but stays straight and he even stands on it without the thingy and on the bad one at the same time square of course but he’s getting the grasp of it. also when he flaps his wings now both of them do that almost aligned and his body is also almost aligned.

he’s growing new tiny feathers around his eyes that aren’t crying anymore.

he grooms himself pretty often but not as much as the bitch i BOUGHT for him in order to cheer him up but that actually bullies him when i’m not looking.

so now i want to make a new sling, a proper one and i’m thinking of making also myself a prosthesis for him and i have a couple of ideas but he first needs to be able to stand on his bad leg.
