Hi,
It depends on the breeds. For Silkies and BantiesI do 60-65% But for Araucana's and Orps I never exceed 55%. I'm no expert by any means but, have done enough hatches to know with certain breeds you need to do different things. I coached a woman in Ma that bought 2 dozen eggs from me and some were Araucana's with the tufted death gene, Out of 24 she got 20 chicks. Not bad for being transported and moved around alot....lol. But, She and I had the same incubator with an egg turner and a turbo fan. Do you use still air or a fan? Do you have a turner?
B
this batch was in a still air lg with turner from now on they will be in a sportsman an hatching in a lg try to lower it right now took out all the sponges
