Maybe Karma caught up with him? I think I know someone who will be looking through the police blotter today!! My neighbor is more of the 'elderly and batty' category than weird... she thinks someone is dumping garbage in the strip of woods between her property and a few of her neighbors. From what I've seen, it's garbage that has been there, and when the kids play in the stream they pull some of it out (my son the garbage collector; I have a pile of stuff he's taken out of there to bring to the dump). But she's convinced someone is sneaking around and dumping new stuff there... her reaction to chickens is going to be priceless, I may need to get out my own binoculars to see it when I finally get my chickies!!

Years ago on the border of Bethel and Danbury, there use to be a chicken farm. They had about 40 guinee hens and they would run all over the nieghborhood. They would roost in the trees and anytime we would walk by they would make one heck of a racket. So I hope your nieghbors like you Chickgirl

LOL - we're new to the neighborhood, but really only have 1 neighbor. she may get sick of us soon, between the chickens and guineas, and i am pretty sure one of our pullets is a rooster ... but her dogs drive me up a wall with their barking all the time so i would say we can be even

Ahh, checked Benedict's in Monroe-they have Red Cross and Silver Laced Wyandottes and some roos, but they came in 4/23rd so several weeks old already... not getting any more in. Looking like I'm either going to have to order eggs and hatch them, or pay the extra $$ for a small order of chicks...sigh. TSC is done with chicks until maybe July and they don't do small orders... maybe I can find a chicken meet with some better choices!

PrettyCoy they look great! And your cat looks MUCH less interested than I think mine would be-he's currently stationed under the birdhouse hoping someone doesn't realize he's there!

That's Lily, she LOVES them :). Good thing too because I accidentally locked her in the guest room with the chicks all day yesterday! She doesn't have a hunting bone in her (very large) body. Our other cat thinks the chicks are boring and our two dogs couldn't care less. I showed an EE to our greyhound Tom and he said 'eh', EE said 'ACK (she really chirped exactly that)' and tried to turn invisible.
