I just use a basic Italian dressing, but you have to grill it on foil to stop it from burning.
The bristol thing is tons of fun.

Hi, all of this sounds really really yummy!!!!! I think i'm going to try doing some kebobs! I haven't made those in years and I think I have the metal kebob rods somewhere in my food closet. Also the blue cheese on a burger sounds really good too!!! Do you grill the burger normal then take it off and put a fresh clump on top to just melt or do you actally have to grill the cheese on the burger on the grill? Thanks for your input!!! Beth

Luke13:34 :

I was going to pick up some fish to grill tonight. Monday we are doing kebobs. The other night I grilled burgers and made a blue cheese sauce for them. Also grilled potato slices that were pretty yummy.

I grilled the burger as usual. Beforehand, however, I made a blue cheese sauce on the stove with Chardonnay and garlic. Just a liitle bit of the Chardonnay, I like lots of minced garlic, let that simmer down just a bit then add the bleu cheese. Don't let it melt too much or it will run right down your arm when you eat the burger. Fresh lettuce and tomato finish it off. A salad and some Harvest Time wine from Jones Family Farm Winery in Shelton complete the table.

Y'all are really gonna want to spend the weekend here when you find out I just got an ice cream maker at Savers for $5.00. Probably best I don't tell you that.

Sounds like some good cooks on this forum-and home made ice cream, mmm!
We're doing chicken kebabs (don't tell my babies) with peppers, onions, pineapple chunks, all smothered with a BBQ sauce/orange juice concentrate marinade. Sweet and yummy! And sliders with pickled red onions and a hot pepper relish and queso cheese sauce..messy but delicious. i think it's Bobby Flay's recipe from a NYC cookoff; if anyone is interested you can probably google it.
And the Stormville Flea Market at the old Stormville Airport in New York is this Saturday and Sunday-huge flea market, new and old stuff. Need to look for cheap hinges and parts for my coop!!
Have a great 3 day weekend (for those that have one) and remember the soldiers that gave their lives so we could enjoy all this great grilling!

Okay if I wasn't hungry already you just put the bbq on my chicken!!! lol
On a more serious note!! Thank you for reminding me of all the wonderful men and woman who give their lives to us unconditionally for our Freedom!!! I think I get so caught up in living life I do forget that I am living my life b/c a the brave Men and Woman of the USA go to fight for our freedom and rights!!

Have a wonderful Safe and Happy Memorial Day weekend all!!
