Humph. I appear to have an occasional egg-eater! Short if installing a closed circuit camera in the coop, what is the best way to cipher which girl is doing the dirty deed? And what can be done about it?

Hi everyone. Haven't been on in a while. Spring has been very busy! Anyway, I am jumping on the downsizing bandwagon. Mostly culling out the Non-breeders, and that unfortunately includes my handsome Mille Cochin roo, Sammy. He is a beautiful bird, but can be a bit of a brat. Has gone after legs, mostly when he thinks he needs to protect his girls, never without reason. For that reason, I am offering him only to a knowledgeable home. He cannot be part of my breeding program because it turns out his dad carried the wry neck gene. I have two up & coming youngsters to replace him in that respect, and my husband says too many roosters! So, if anyone wants a pretty piece of eye candy, he's a great flock guardian, always very alert, and he's nice to his girls. He's about a year old (hatched last May). He may even make a decent show bird if anyone wants to help get this variety out there!

I will offer him free to anyone on this forum, and am willing to try to meet you for pickup. He has not been tested yet, but if someone wants to show him, I will do that before you take him, too!
Thanks!
Terry
