Beth, I've decided that Agatha isn't a giant lav Cochin, I think she must be part ostrich! She is getting BIG!

At only 13 weeks she is my biggest girl, plus she has those crazy curly feathers.

I can't put them in with the big girls without risking a major gang war and I can't let them loose in the barn as they will poop all over the place, including on the boat. I think I will batten down a heavy tarp on the barn deck so they can hide under the low deck during the worst of the storm. It's about 18" off the ground. They will be dry and safe there. It's one of their favorite spots during hot days.

In the meantime I have to take down the gazebo covers, secure the lawn furniture, get the generator hooked up & fuel ready, move the cars out from under any trees, sharpen the chain saw, shut the skylights, make sure we have candles and flashlights at the ready, tie the corgi's ears down so the wind doesn't whisk him away! etc, etc, etc. Hurricane season is such fun.
