You must have spoken to ME! (tall crazy lady with the chicken purse! I was telling several people about BYC and the get together).

Yes, the get together is Oct 1 from 11-4pm in Derby. I'm on my iPod, so it's hard for me to copy and paste links, but you can look on the Chickenstocks, Swaps and Meetups thread for more info. We would love to have you come! (or PM me for info and directions)

Or maybe you weren't talking to me .... There's more than one of us crazy chicken ladies in these here parts.

Beth, I love that pic of Betty. She looks so sweet and innocent there. You would never guess she's really a bad mother (watch yo mouth!). Such a little troublemaker. But we love her.

We were the ones hanging around waiting for the chicks to hatch for half an hour, my daughter was fascinated with 'milking the cow'! We would love to come on the first, it is my six (soon to be seven) year old daughter's birthday that day, and we have a party organized for the afternoon. We will come early and leave early. I bought some chicks from Beth, she mentioned the meeting to me

. I actually have a blue partridge silkie rooster with a crossed beak from Beth, we thought it was a pullet. He is tested, could I bring him along to see if anyone is interested in giving him a home? I can't keep him as we already have one rooster that the town 'investigated' due to one of those neighbors. He's from Hattrick silkie bloodlines. Very sweet and affectionate, loves to snuggle.

LOL Tina your too funny!

I miss betty but I'm glad she is with you and your family. I have a baby from her I am keeping. She was the Momma and my blue cochin was the pappa. The baby is a pullet and really cute looking

Hey guys, I still have four buff silkie cockerals left for sale. $15 each. If anyone is interested, PM me or email me at [email protected]. I am attending the Little Rhody show in RI in October and the Boston Poultry Expo in November if you'd like to pick up at either. Thanks!

Congratulations Tina! I'm so happy for you! I would have loved to have gone, but we have relatives visiting from NC.

I would be tempted to look at the Silkies, but I have a feeling I have 4 boys in my "straight run." Would love to get some girls!!!

The guys finally got the sonatubes filled with cement, so the coop building will start on Monday!!!! Already had to rearrange the chickens in the brooder and move the D'Anvers into their own cage. If you know of anyone with a large wire cage or outdoor dog kennel that they don't want, send them my way!

Okay, so I have a serious problem...I was planning on not hatching anymore this year, but my incubator is empty and I have four eggs from my BBS stock (only three girls are laying and they are broody half the time), and I have an OVERWHELMING desire to stick them in the incubator.
