Connecticut!

Hello all!! I'm a new chicken mom in connecticut! Got nine of them from TSC about 2weeks ago.
Not sure exactly what all of them are, or even if they are all actually girls at this point, but
I believe 3 of them are leg horn (it's what the sign said lol) 3 are sexlinked and the other 3,..no idea. But they look like chipmunks.

As soon as I'm at my computer I will post some pictures!
I look forward to conversing with you all!

Welcome!

Looking forward to some pics of your new babies. That might help figure them out, plus I'm never averse to cuteness.

As you're probably aware, we do have a healthy predator population in lots of areas of CT, so hopefully you've got a nice secure place set up for when these guys turn into mega-monsters! Feel free to post pics of that too :)

here's some more lol

sexlinked?

leghorn?

no idea! lol

And this was me "supervising" while my husband and father-in-law built our indoor coop to house the babies for now. They will be supposedly be 2 weeks old on saturday

Yup I think you have leghorns and (amber) sex-links. The light colored ones are the leghorns and the reddish ones are sex-links. Think Farmington TSC also had straight run speckled Sussex and also the bantams. Any chance that's a Sussex on your son's shoulder? Looks like fun!

They were out of bantams when I went there. But maybe they are Sussex. I guess I will wait and see! And thank you for the info! Glad to know what 6 of them are at least! lol

Welcome to BYC & chicken-keeping Sara! Best of luck with yours.

Happy Spring everyone!

Not looking forward to the rainy season, but looking forward to the flowers & warmth it will bring.
