Anyone in the area looking for a rooster to add to their flock? We can't keep our barred rock roo anymore and are looking for a new home for him. He's very friendly and beautiful.

Thank you so much, I'll give them a call. :) I was thinking the Central CT Co-op's mill (cccfeeds.com) would have wheat or barley, but I'm not seeing it in their inventory online. They do have oats--which I'm confused about. I was just chatting in another thread about this and was told it was fine to use whole oats for fodder seed. This is contrary to the other threads I've been reading on here, with others cautioning that "oats just don't work well," that they get "slimy" and gum up the works of your fodder system and drainage holes, then start to rot and smell. I'm starting to think that maybe someone had bad sprouting technique and I may as well give oats a shot at some point.
