Connecticut!

I have the cutest cockerel available. I get Bielefelder males from Alchemist farms, and one of her Azure egger males was put in the mix. He is friendly and has the cutest coos(not crowing yet).

Hi - I am new to BYC! At the end of the summer my family and I got 6 chicks. Now that they are growing, its obvious that one of the barred rocks is a rooster. I am looking to re-home the rooster and hopefully trade for a Hen (almost any breed of chicken). We are located in the CT Area. The Rooster is ~15 weeks old.

I know a person in Durham who will take a rooster. Can't guarantee the rooster's fate.

I need to rehome my entire flock of 12 hens. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will be moving and will not be able to bring my hens with me. I am located in eastern CT. If anyone is interested please send a message. Thanks.

Hi, I am new to the group and just got our first chicken coop. It’s quite small and I think 4 chickens would be sufficient to start with. We are located in Norwalk. I’m sorry to hear that you’re not able to take your chickens with you. Will you be willing to separate the flock?

Geniemorris, welcome to BYC :frow
Not sure what your response was referring to! 🤷‍♀️
How small IS your coop/run? 4 hens require a bit more space than what you stated, ‘quit small’, unless of course, your building bigger, and maybe they free range supervised, or something else you didn’t mention. you mentioned you were new to chickens and if you want a healthy, thriving flock, ya gotta give em lots of space! i have 195 sq ft for 5 hens & wonder if it’s enough sometimes! :wee It’s what got my attention about your message! On the homepage, there are different forums and topics, a great place to learn a bunch and share. Good luck from CT! finally the heat calmed down! 🐓❤️☮️

hi, I was referring to a message above of someone who wasn’t able to take their flock with them when they were moving. I believe they said they had 12 chickens and I wanted to see if I would be able to have four. I definitely have enough space for 4 chickens, I have 1/2 an acre but we wanted to start with a few birds as it was our first time.
