We're all getting stir crazy I know it's Connecticut and I lived here most of my life but January and February are brutal I just added six chickens to my flock I was only supposed to get two.... Chicken math
Yes, stir crazy is one way to put it. Today is finally the last day of January and the weather keep slowly getting more favorable, but Jeesh. I have a path made of hay and leaves that goes from the coops to the green house (about 15-20 ft away). And that’s our path of entertainment. Back and forth, back and forth. I have a subflock of 2 so everything is done twice because my original 5 GLW’s won’t tolerate the 2 being anywhere near them. I look forward to getting 2 more hens to add to the subflock this year if the weather ever comes around! This morning is the first that it’s not below freezing so that’s a good thing too. Where did you get your 6 new ones from? I would like to get mine from a farm rather than TSC. Good luck with it all! Everyone is healthy so thats always a good thing; but, come on Spring!!!

I Dig your setup! Nice looking bird too. Mine finally went into Moe about a month ago so I was only getting our am only getting one maybe two eggs a day sometimes none the past few weeks and that was with six all one year old hens. Like I said I just added six more I think a White Rock and Easter egger , Australorp, of Rhode Island red, some kind of mix one, and another black one which I can't figure out and they didn't know what it was LOL. Inbox me if you want to know where I got them in Connecticut, around the Guilford area.
