We got our first egg in over a month. Hooray for slightly longer days! :cd

Yay! That's exciting congrats!

I'm cleaning out coops today.. In the rain and the rogue thunderstorm! It came out of nowhere. I had a feeling I should go in the house till it passed, and I'm glad I did! Lightning struck a nearby tree! What a bright flash!
Now back to coop cleaning. So glad it's much warmer today

I hope you got your coop cleaning motivation on! The temp seems to be dropping already, although it's nowhere near as cold as it was last week! Next week will be colder again tho :-/

I know....it is much easier cleaning in cold weather,everything is dryer.this is the type of weather change that makes the chickens more susceptible to sickness,from dry cold too warm and damp in 24hrs not good.

Anyone interested in a Crevecoeur rooster? He's 8.5 months old, thought he was a girl for the longest time but he's a boy for sure. I don't breed Crevecoeur's, a breeder just randomly gave him to me in my chick order last spring. Need to find him a home soon or he's going to the auction.
