ok....then you can participate! This is the right time to register, too! I'll see if I can get you a registration/entry form offline... I'll be wearing a white shirt with a small clover to the right, with Chicken Chasers club underneath it. I have blond hair......if that helps at all...I'll be there everyday.

Hi all,

Newbie poster, but I visit the site everyday to see what is going on. I am from Derby, CT also. I have five hens: two red stars that are great layers - 2 years old. Two black sex links that should start to lay in about three weeks and one Silver Laced Wyandotte that should start laying next month. @ Luke 13 - If you decide to start a flock, PM me and I can show you our coop and set up in the backyard.

I don't think I'll make the fair in Durham this weekend, but have a great time, everyone. I'll be at the Goshen Fair on Labor Day weekend!

Welcome to BYC from Ansonia!

Oh yea, DEFINITELY going to Goshen!!!

Luke, You're going to the fair on Friday Night, right? Is Derby closer to Oxford? There's also a chicken club in Oxford called Quaker Farms. I'll see you there! chicken boy sam

Yes, we are planning to be at the fair Friday. We'll be holding up signs and blowing vuvuzeles for when you are showing your birds!

Don't have any contacts, but they'll probably be there. They're REALLY nice, one of the people in her club is the chicken manager at the fair.

Hello again,

Thank you for welcoming me to the flock!!

@ Dot n Dave - Yes, we are close by and we knew there were others (like us) around......we just didn't know where!!! I know of one family in Shelton who has many hens and roosters and then of course my dad has four hens and he is in Derby too.

@Luke 13 - I work during the day and some evenings, so weekends are best. I'll PM you.

Hello fellow Nutmeggers!

Todd from Hebron, CT here...
Just posted in the intro section but thought I would say hello in the CT thread as well.

Currently have 6 - 4 week old chicks...Building coop and run now.
2 Dominques, 2 Easter Eggers, 1 Silver and 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte. (The golden might be a rooster which if it is I will not be keeping)

Anyway, nice to be among you.

First time with chickens and honestly have no clue what I am doing..LOL
