Tinman.. I was reading this article and thought of you http://www.motherearthnews.com/Happy-Homesteader/Coffee-Chaff-Chicken-Coop-Litter.aspx
It
is about using coffee chaff for coop litter. When I googled roasters in CT, the closest one to me is in BETHEL.

I read that and that's what I use now. It''s great. I called the place in Bethel first and someone beat me to the punch - they already save it for another chicken person. I found a place in New Canaan that saves it for me now.

I think I remember the Danbury Fair..(Born and raised in Meriden where we had a mall too..) We used to head to the Durham Fair.
BTW, my coop is done and I am build thier run. MAN DID I GET CARRIED AWAY...Man building this coop/run is kicking my butt...
The run is clocking in at 12 feet by 20 feet x 16 feet x 12 feet..(attaches to the coop). Its 6 feet high at its LOWEST point and up to 8 feet high where the ground slopes down...holy cow I better get some golden eggs! LOL

Tinman sounds like we got a lot in common..One of my good Motorcycle riding buddies lives in Sandy Hook.

I think next spring I'll have you all over for a cookout! Some of you are right down the road in towns right down the street.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend fellow Nutcluckers... ;-)

Sounds good!
