ours are not insulated but it depends on what kind of chickens you are doing we do orps they are very hardy so other birds dont handle the cold nearly aswell.also how many birds will be in there they create alot of heat when there are alot of them in there.dont forget to get heated waters before it gets cold they sell fast.

they sure are cute

first of if you got birds from beth you got some of the best birds in the state she knows her stuff an is super nice we just loved visting her farm an learned so much.all those birds a pretty cold hardy just make sure the coop stays dry an clean in the winter an they will be fine.sorry this is jimmy the fisher didn't relize i was under my kids sign on till i posted

Beth went out of her way to teach me about chickens and let me meet them before deciding what I wanted. She then handraised them for me till Easter eve so they could be surprise for my kiddos. She is great

.

They are great birds. The speckled sussex (Crackle) flies up to visit everytime we open the top of the brooder and seems to enjoy being pet and helded, she is 8 weeks old.
