Hi Everyone,

Just curious, Is anyone from CT going to either the Chicken Fiesta in MA at Shay's on June 4th or The Boston Poultry Show on June 5th?

Tx,
B

can't wait!!! It's going to be so fun watching Lexi show!!!

She won't do showmanship yet though. She is still too shy and not confident enough. She says she'll give it a shot in the fall. I'm VERY happy to have someone (besides just Lexi) to hang out with there! It can be such a long day. I noticed yesterday one of our silkies has a couple broken wing feathers. Oh well, Lexi will still show her regardless because she is our favorite.

Hi, Yeah don't forget to bring a comfy chair and I'm thinking about taking my pop up awning. This way if there is no place else and its nice out, we can hang outside! Maybe I should pack the cooler and we can all hang out and have lunch together. You shoul really think about plucking those out. Bad part is I think it takes 4-6 wks to grow back

You know what I think you should put a post up for her asking the Silkie Breeders/Showing guys what they would do? I'm curious to learn for myself! BTW the DH does not want to sell that pullet I was telling you about. She is actually only 6 1/2 months old and he says I'm rushing it if I think about selling her now. I was thinking about offsetting the cost of B.P.'s babies coming soon

lol AND THEN ORDERING MORE!!!! hahahaha (i'm nutz I know)

That sounds good. I can bring pack a lunch for Lexi & I and we can definitely do that! I did some research and it is best to leave them because they are wing feathers and it would be worse for them to be missing. Sounds like a good plan you had...more is always better!!! Haha

It's a Raising Backyard Chickens class at the RIdgefield Library the afternoon of June 12. There will be a presentation by My Pet Chicken, a local vet who treats chickens, snacks and a local coop tour. It's presented by Green Village Initiative. I'll let everyone know when the full agenda is worked out. It should be fun. I hope people come.
