Yup. It got as dark as night, wicked windy and then poured cats and dogs. And as quickly as it blew in, it blew back out. My chickens didn't know quite what hit 'em.
Our family, along with the corgi riding in the kid cart, were riding our bikes from our house to the Essex Fire Department for the weekly Tuesday Night Antique car show. We were about halfway there when all heck broke loose. Due to the tall trees, we could not see the storm clouds until they were almost overhead. We turned around and headed back home but toooo late. Made it home ok but we were all soaked, except for the corgi, since he was riding in style!
BTW, A fellow chicken keeper on Horse Hill Road in Westbrook didn't want the two Silkies but he did tell me about the Middlefield Livestock Auction held on Monday evenings. I have a few more contacts to try but if nobody wants them then I guess we will be heading to the auction come monday. I wish to thank everyone for their advice and suggestions. r
