lol i may just end up buying it since he is buying me chickens haha, but i'll see what he thinks. i dont know how the barnevelders are, i started of with a polish male and 4 rescue hens(leg horn and 3 sexlinks) happy about the hens but the polish breed im not too excited about, then i hot a silkie and had to get more silkies and more silkies lol. so yea the silkies im in love with

I love the look of silkies, they look like something that should be arranged on your bed...you should be able to cuddle with them! I currently have a couple of australorps, dark brahmas..love both these types. 1 red sex link and a NHR cross those are the hens. 1 wheaten cockerel and my NHR red pullet that grew saddle feathers

they look pretty but im sticking with bantams, i do cuddle with my silkies haha, and give them kisses, my silkie roo just gives me the look when i do it and make little noises lol. he loves it here cause the's the man not my polish roo. i let him free range more then the polish....as he takes the hens to my door to ask for food lol. my sexlinks and leg horn are fertile so i can try my incubator with their eggs first so i dont get so disappointed if it doesnt work right, then i'll buy fertile silkie eggs

Well, it sounds like Dan isn't too crazy about the silkies anyway (from other posts you wrote), so it may be a good idea not to share with him!

yup!! all he cares about is eggs lol. i never thought he'd let me get chickens. he thinks its the greatest when he can catch the chickens and hold them
