its official, my polish rooster is a jerk lol. he was fine with the chicks with him, but when i put them in a smaller coop he attacks them, does my silkie roo attack them nnnnooooo, he accepts them along with the adult hens. so ya his new name is jerk not mo

its his loss, you'd think he'd want a flock, i'll keep trying, just not have them with him at night i guess, i know he wants rudy's hens but he's too rough with them and they end up ripping out his crest feathers, rudy is gentle lol.

Can anyone take a large dog?

I made a mistake. I wanted to get hubby a dog for his birthday. I was envisioning a small to medium sized dog. One that the kids could take on a walk, that we could take to the soccer field, go for a hike in the woods....

Well, we were looking at medium sized dogs on Craigslist and were considering a beagle. Then I saw this picture of a hound/shepherd mix dog holding a toy bunny in her mouth looking all cute. Hubby said that THAT was the dog he wanted.

Even when we went to pick her up, it didn't really hit me that this 90lb dog would NOT be a family dog - that the only people who can walk her on a leash are adults.

She really is a sweetheart of a dog. She doesn't chew on anything she isn't supposed to chew on. She wants to play with the cats (who look on her with disdain) and she is gentle with the kids.

This is totally not the dogs fault. I am just having a hard time dealing with such a large dog in my house. She pretty much ignores my chickens when they are in the run.

FREE! Would love to find a new home for her asap.
