I love getting birds there... There are so many and a variety to choose from. I got a nice little OEGB hen last year for10 bucks. I knew she wasn't going to lay, but she is the sweetest little hen!

that's gonna be my first real chicken show i'll be going to, hopefully the roads dont suck cause my car is not a snow car lol

Normally the roads aren't that bad, however I got lost last year

There are quite a few birds there, though.

Nice! You should have been at the show today! They had OEGB's for really good prices too

So what is everyone up to this upcoming Thanksgiving??? I'm very excited to have Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, AND Sun off of my real job so I can do my favorite job which is play with mess with the chickens!

What's everyone cooking? We were going to have fresh turkey for T-Day but, after getting the turkeys from Jimmythechicken and Littleblue I've grown soo attached to them I can't do it!!! They are my pets now

I ordered a store turkey for thursday hehe

Sunday was our first 5 egg day - all the girls are now laying! It hasn't happened again since, but at least I know they're all capable

Maybe hearing us discussing how good the Thanksgiving turkey dinner would be gave them an incentive to become more valuable!! My best guesses as to the eggs: Easter Egger at the top, then clockwise I think Barred Rock, Partridge Rock, Light Brahma, and Silver Laced Wyandotte
