Connecticut!

It says 20-22 for the vaccination itself. However, I think I'll probably use the TB as it's small and manageable.
I love BYC. Otherwise I'd be all by my lonesome in this! NOBODY I know has chickens. Except now my sister, who is a newbie of 2 weeks. And was smart enough to get big fat chicks that the hatchery vaccinated for her.
Smart sister you have there. This site is full of very knowledgable people and most will respond very quickly and share their experiences. Your never alone on BYC that's what I love about it.

Yup, looks just like it. I wonder how many end up getting a stab at the skull? They put through thousands of chicks a day.

Maybe some of those are the ones that arrive deceased in the box of chicks most hatcheries put in a few extra chicks usually are roos though.

Good Morning everyone,

My chicks are 3 weeks old today, what kind of treats can I give them?
Mine always went crazy over blueberries it is usually the first food I give them other than their chick crumbles. you will need to offer a tiny bit of sand for grit so they can digest I usually sprinkle it on the food like you would add salt to you food then they can't overload on it. My adults still go crazy when they see blueberries.

grapes cut in half are a big hit. It's like watching a tiny football game as they steel them from each other and run around. I give them parakeet grit, but maybe sand is OK. Not sure.
I just came home with Chick Grit ( Manna Pro-manufacturer) from Agway in Monroe. This is all they had there. I guess this is OK??
