@Kalmia - Did you finish the project? Do you have any pictures of how things turned out? I'll be working on making an similar connection and am curious what you came up with.

This is the run that I built. It is just pushed up tight next to the coop. It fits between the corner trim on the coop. I just pull it away from the coop and tip it on it’s side. When I want to scoop out the run area. I used 1 inch long staples to attach the wire. A lot of staples. It has held up for five years so far.@Kalmia - Did you finish the project? Yes, sorry I don’t check this site very often. I just ran out and took a few pictures.@Kalmia - Did you finish the project? Do you have any pictures of how things turned out? I'll be working on making an similar connection and am curious what you came up with.
That looks great! I'm in the process of setting up the same coop and run. What canopy are you using? I can't find one anywhere!Yes, sorry I don’t check this site very often. I just ran out and took a few pictures.
I went with the suggestion of using plywood with a door hole. I used scrap wood so it’s not too pretty and could have been done with fewer pieces. I also used some hardware cloth to make a “threshold” so the chickens don’t fall between the coop & run (my kiddo wanted that modification). I just set the coop and run close to each other and it seems to work just fine. I have moved it twice since finishing this setup and it’s not too hard to get it all lined up. I also use the hardware cloth threshold to cover the hole when the run is pulled away from the coop during moving (it’s just a flap).
I’m sharing pictures of the full setup and what the transition looks like from inside the run. I close the coop door every night.
