Aurum reached the top of the mountain, he stumbled into his cave and went to sleep on top of his hoard.

Unsheathing her dagger, Mel whirled around, snarling. Out of the bushes came another were-raccoon.

"Jack!" Mel screeched when she saw him.

Atero started down the mountain, he could here the pegasi and Sombre, but payed no attention to it.

Sombre smiled a cold, mean smile. "Go get some water and bring it to me. I'll be by the treasure..." He ordered Dapple, walking deeper into the cave.

"D...dapple?" Crystal whinnied softly from a corner.

Shade got to Sombre`s mountain.Yes,he recognized it now.He clawed the ground in anger.He must save them.

Xzarnon huffed at Dapple's ignorance of the situation. "What to do?" he asked, aloud. Ghost, his animal friend suddenly appeared near the mountain.

Xzarnon. Only one can save them. He said in Xzarnon's head.

"Who?" Xzarnon asked.

Just as fire must fight fire, gryphon must fight gryphon. He said, vanishing from view.

Pompona turned around, deciding she wasn't going to meet the others after all. She glanced up the mountain and her heart nearly stopped. Atero.

Atero, however, was paying no attenbtion to her. He watched the new gryphon (Shade) curiously.
