I am considering a Pullorum antigen kit to test my birds before an NPIP test in the Spring, just to make sure I am safe before the testing. I do not have reason to believe that my birds have Pullorum, but its always a good measure to take. I am also considering the addition of non-NPIP birds to my flock before the testing. So I wanted to make sure they were safe before going further.
My concern, however, is over the efficacy of the test. I was wondering if the test gives an accurate reading. Is it prone to false negative/positives?
