Considering Ducks

Oh. and I used a little tykes tug boat sandbox/pool for their pool. They are deeper than a kiddie pool, and have a drain plug on the bottom, and I'd only have to change the water every 3 days or so. More though in warmer weather, about every other day. I just set a WIDE board for them to walk up on the outside and a landscape brick inside for them to be able to get in and out.

I use one of those as well, mind you it's one of three pools mine all manage in/out on their own but they are all muscovy so a big duck.

It was 100 yesterday and 14 ducks with 2 kiddie pools...just didn't cut it. I might need 3 so they can all hop in. In a few weeks they can all go out to the pond though and that will REALLY cut back on duck chores and the pool draining and refilling. Since it got so warm- the water got warm in less than 2 hours. And I do mean warm. And the ducks were panting so I had to keep draining and refilling several times yesterday. It was a lot of work. I don't mind terribly. I am now sporting a nice tan from doing this for a few weeks.
