Its really sad when you burry one of your favorite hens and something comes along and digs them up. I guess I have learned over time to deal with it better. Cover the grave with some stones or wire. Always sad to loose a good bird.
On a new subject does anyone have any ideas that might help keep my drake duck from continueing to beat up the babies. It seems he wont let up. I am thinking about duct tapeing his wings above his head.

! She came out and helped me turn that LB (lil bast**) roo of mine into a nice pot of chicken and noodles for dinner tonight. I couldnt do the deed cause I had named him ... but I watched and learned - she was so helpful.

Not my favorite part of chicken ownership... but as they say, the fleas come with the dog...
