Consolidated Kansas

maidenwolf, yes that would be me that is selling the two SFH roosters, they're both handsome guys, I just have two too many & had to choose between them all as to which two I wanted to keep for breeding. They're all really nice & it was a hard decision really because the two non-crested ones are almost identical. Between the two crested ones I had to choose between the lighter color & the darker one & I chose the lighter, but they're both really nice too. I can identify Danz because this was a hard decision with these guys, but they were starting to really get competitive since there are fewer hens in that pen & they were fighting, so I had to make a decision finally & remove two from the pen. I have noticed there is less fighting now, although I probably have one Cream Legbar I need to sell also since I am going to be getting one from Eileen in a couple of months. I'm not really too happy with either of those roosters I have, but I will need to keep the best of the two for now until the one from her gets some age & size on him. I probably will also get another pullet at the same time so I have a nice pullet too. I'm only really super happy with one of the Cream Legbar hens I have, so if I get one more that will be good. I'm trying to get my breeding stock all lined out for spring so I have enough to start hatching as soon as I get my coop done & can move my birds & get them settled in. Now that I'm wanting to get things finished on my coop my DH has started working 10 hour days, grrrr. I'm still going to make him get out there & help me as much as he can. If I have to make a trip to the lumber yard to buy the wood for the walls I will go by myself if necessary just to get it going. We're getting so close to being done with this building that it's just aggravating to be so close but yet not done.

Sunflowerparrot, you were posting at the same time I was writing. I can't wait to see all of the chicks, that just never gets old.

Trish- oh I see. I just remember you guys taklling about them and figured I would let people know in case this was something someone didnt know about and wanted. Good luck they really are handsome boys. I myself want some but I do not even have a hen yet. I love the crested ones

a family adventure with my sister and dad, since we are just starting , we havent got everyone separated out yet but my dad was in a hurry to make sure his incubator worked. I think this is a blue americoopussex LOL but a cute little bugger nonetheless

I hope you all don' t mind if I post this here. This is a flier for the fund raiser they are having for my son's girlfriend Dana I have told you about. She is currently fighting a very aggressive cancer. She is only 34 years old & they need financial help with treatment. I just found out about this today myself. We will be attending that day, but even if you can't attend & would consider a donation that would be great. Any donations can be sent to: Landing Zone

I'm sorry she isn't doing better Trish. I took some pictures of the puppies yesterday. They got their first taste of food. They were hungry and Cloud was out chasing ghosts.

I have a super busy day ahead. I got nothing done I planned yesterday thanks to it drizzling or sprinkling all day. We only got maybe a 1/4 inch of rain out of a whole day of it. I have to bake pies and do some other cooking for my Christmas get together with the kids tomorrow. I need to take eggs to town and also meet with my insurance agent to pick up the check and sign over the title to the car.
I spent a bunch of time yesterday cleaning out a closet. Unfortunately that is the way way I clean I start with something inobvious and never get the big picture done.
I really need to make a run to Springhill but I just don't see I'll have the time. I am sure I have tons of wet feed to dump and replenish. I do wish my birds all liked eating inside rather than outside.
I am so disgusted. I have answered about 10 adds on craigslist either by text or by email and haven't had a single person reply back. Why on earth do they put adds in if they are going to ignore inquiries??
I used to check craigslist every day but rarely do any more for just that reason.

So cute. They are growing fast.
I know what you mean about craigslist. I get the same thing and it is frustrating.
So I have a brooder full of sick chicks. They have been sneezing and wheezing for a week and been on duramycin since then. They are still sneezing and I am going to lose at least one more today. Should I switch to an antibacterial?

Dans love the puppies the are growing so fast

Maidenwolf sorry about chicks I hope they pull threw.

I have been letting my younger pullets free range with current flock they are still chasing them & pecking at them. I haven't put the younger ones out in same coop/run yet is there something I can or will they just have to deal with it? I know someone showed a gadget to help with pecking does anyone know what it was called?
