Well after a long hard battle, Mohawk finally succumbed. I worked yesterday and didnt fix his scrambled eggs. BIG mistake. I knew he wasnt eating enuff. Was cleaning up after dinner and heard him start honking and thrashing in the living room.
I went to hold him in my arms and he gave his last breath. He was just finally up and walking around yesterday morning, after leg paralysis for 10 days.
And Cherokee, he had been so glad when I let them sun, he stayed with him all day and let him rest his poor lil head on his back. Oh golly I am beating myself up for being tired and not sucking it up and cooking some eggs for him. He was so so depleted.
Now I am mad at my dog for making him so stressed to begin with! And I am heartsore. Had that silly pea and his bro in the house all winter since he was a late fall hatch.
Well, we are no long able to afford this place most likely will be coming back home. Wished it was further south. If anyone knows of any cheap CHEAP acreages in the Belleville/Courtland area, let me know. I sure hate to give up all my critters but not much holding us here and lotsa friends in Kansas, none here.
How is your guys weather? My animals went absolutely nuts last night, must have sensed the tornado to the south. We got rain, then big big old snowflakes, gorgeous, now its back to light snow and muck. Gotta go care for critters and unhook hoses, supposed to drop tonite.
Hope all your plants do ok that anyone has/have planted. Mike, you better cover those okra if it calls for freezing down your way!
Congrats on the developing duckies, Sparky. Take care all.
