Good news - my lil Lucky chick has made it thru so far. My broody had attacked and killed one of the chicks - and got this one's neck quite a bit - we thought she was a gonner - but looks like it was mostly a superficial wound and she is happy (better be GIRL after all this work and bonding time) Anyone know if they get their feathers back over a wound or do they just have a bald spot? sad part is that she adopted 6 TSC babies - and still has then - but I tried to introduce a second batch... I got greedy

By the way - anyone in near Wichita need a roo? I have 2 - one is a barred rock and one looks like a buff rock or something - b oth are gorgeous - mutts probably because I got them from a farm but they are gorgeous! Got 7 chicks - so far only one for sure pullet - one maybe - and 5 roos... keeping one roo cause he's a sweetie (and slightly deficient brainwise) - processed two - will process these if i have to but would like to give them a chance cause they are so beautiful - just gotta get em off my girls - lol girls got bald spots

would like to get at least $5 out of each of them - they are huge. Don't care if you send em to freezer camp - just hoping to get em out of my yard ... and being a wimp about it

So glad to know your Gracie is doing soo well! She's just beautiful!! I have three left from my original flock from this time last year. Neighbors dog came into my shop one day when it was nice enough to have the door rolled up and killed all but 4 of my 23 4 wk old babies. It tears your heart out to see them wounded like that, I know. Again, I'm happy she's healthy and happy.

, now what to do since the gas prices went up 10 cents more overnight

yeah I wanted to go all the way down to you guys in wichita and go to Winchells, Braums, Atwoods and all the other good places and the Riverwalk, and then go over to Arnolds in Leroy and end in Lawrence but now I cant even afford Wichita

I would have less chickens if TSC was a longer drive... I need them to stop selling chicks and save me from myself!
