I bought a 50# bag of food grade DE at a farm supply in South Topeka for $30. It wasn't TSC but a couple miles south on Topeka Blvd. At that price I'd drive up there again. I use it in the litter, nest boxes and in their feed about once a week. I also put it in my dogs food and my breakfast protein shake most mornings.

Who of you have used the pinless peepers and where did you get them? If I can get my hands on some I'm putting them on my birds to see if I can break their habit of picking feathers. I know some of the feather loss is due to molting, but I also know I have a pecking problem. Where is my best source and price on peepers?

We put up the new 30'x50' run yesterday. We'll turn my chickens out there in the evenings instead of letting them run the whole place as we have been doing. That had to change if I was going to have any flowers anywhere this year. I like letting them roam but I love having beautiful flowers through the summer.

Here's a question: I've seen a soft chicken/bird netting that can be hung over a run to keep out flying predators but don't know exactly what it's called or where to get it. I want to drape it over my new run so I don't have to worry about my chickens being out in the open in the late afternoon/early evening. Anyone?

Thanks but those rings aren't what I'm wanting. I wouldn't think it'd be good for my chickens not to able to close their mouths. The peepers are what I'm interested in.
