@chicken danz you are right about the hatches. This is ridicuous. I have a 17 wk old Jubilee Orpington, 2 3 week old Jubilee orpingtons, 2 that hatched under my White orp, and 2 more from the incubator. SO I have 7 of them but not enough at any single age for anyone to be interested in buying them. The 17 week old is clearly female, I think I have a pair in the 3 week old, and the other 4 are a crapshoot.
These girls need to stop being broody.
Oh, I forgot about Copper and Graycie whose chicks are due next week (all English Orpington of various hues). Sigh. Some of these birds need to go.
Oh, and I forgot about those adorable Campines. They are delightful, they flock together everywhere. I need to sell a trio or a quad of them, too.
New topic:
We have gotten about 4" of rain total in this mess, but it has all stayed on top of the ground because the ground is pretty much saturated. The birds are all wading around enjoying the goodies that come to the surface. The dogs hate going out in the rain, mutter grumble. 40 days and 40 nights are ENOUGH.
