I have to plant my veggies in the ground I put anything in a pot and i kill it. I have tried every kind of plant and nothing stays alive I plant my garden and it goes crazy I have lettuce and spinach about ready to pick and all the other plants are growing. I enlarged my garden this year.

To all of you! Herbs in pots on the deck. if you have to put some tomatoes in the flower bed. Dont over do it, just enjoy it! My brother is getting his tomatoes eaten off by his chickens. You can have both its all about planning and managing! I wish you all some thing from your garden that will make at least one meal better. We can feed the world with just green; we can feed about 10% on meat! You live in a land that can have both!! If you havent started consider tomatoes and peppers!!!

You know pidgon love is much like human love.

Not like house sparrow love( where the boy makes baby calls) they show off to the girls and girls act like they see nothing.

They preen thier shoulder. Sooner or later the boys win (boys always win) in any case they end up swaping body fluids.

No pidgons puke in each others mouth.

Usually the male pukes in the girls mouth!

I guess its better than making baby calls from the nest site like a house sparrow!

Humans;we swap spit not much better than pidgons.

Its the clasic swap meet you get what you kiss and every disease they have Birds have been/ no are dinasaurs.

Again once people learn to understand these birds they too will want a few. they are to me like a fish tank in the house only outside they give me a reason to go outside and look up.

Hey all, So glad I found this board. I'm looking at housing in the Bonner Springs area, a couple of houses I know are in city limits but have 4+ acres. I have looked and searched every where, I called city office today and got voice mail. Is raising chickens legal in Bonner Springs, and if so how many are allowed, what are the rules? Also if anyone has info on Goats, if allowed, how many ect.... I would be forever grateful!

I was wondering, makes sense and shoul be pretty darn solid. How many bags do you think you'll need? I might know someone that installs Direct TV that can just give them to me (Shhhh)!

According to their website it would seem they only have ordinances against "fowl at large" like we have here in Topeka! I'd double check this beings as their site is extremely unhelpful, but for sure make sure whatever coop is 100% secure... Paying a fine for a little harmless chicken getting loose would really suck!

No no i think you have misunderstood me. The floor will be what it is dirt as the floor. Then there will be the foot of rock and concerete. If I was to make the floor out of pure concrete my birds would end up with what is called bumble foot. This is caused by a soft tissued foot coming into blunt contact with a very hard surface.
