You know, I've noticed a trend here for years that even in mixed flocks a lot of birds stick around others that are the same breed. How on earth do they know?

Hi Kansas folks! Would any of you be interested in having a get together somewhere in the Kansas City area? I think it would be so much fun to meet each other and swap chicken stories, ideas, breed choices - just basically flock together!

Hi Kansas folks! Would any of you be interested in having a get together somewhere in the Kansas City area? I think it would be so much fun to meet each other and swap chicken stories, ideas, breed choices - just basically flock together!

Several of us used to get together down by the Wichita area. At that time I would have to travel a couple hours but it was a great time. I live an hour to an hour and a half from the KC area but it's not a great long trek when you live out in the boonies like I do. There are a few people who live up that direction or closer to the KC area. i.e. @Dani4Hedgies is the first to come to mind. It would be great to get together though with some people. If we were to meet at an inside area it could be done soon. If meeting outside, however we'd have to wait for warmer weather.
For that matter please feel free to jump in here and tell some chicken stories. It might get people enthused to start posting again.
