oh yeah. My roos crack me up. They sound like teenagers right now. But 5 or 10 could be a totally different deal. On top of that I have a new neighbor who's pregnant. I bet by fall I get a complaint about the crowing, which isn't really any worse than a dog barking and there are certainly a few of those in the area

I could always get another husky and let his howling distract from the crowing

So hot and tired. Mowed the lawn this morning so I saved building the people entrance/window wall for this evening. It's all done! And I was so excited and happy and thinking I was DONE with walls! I drug the wall out to the coop base and laid it down and realized....ugh, oh yeah, one more wall.

I guess I got a little carried away with my elation. But this last wall will be so easy- no windows or anything! I should have probably started it now, but I'm tired. I'll take a pic tomorrow when I have my DH help me set it in place.

This was a MUCH nicer day today! Not nearly so hot, only a high of 104 and it didn't even last that long. It backed off pretty fast as we had some clouds come in- no rain, though.

Worked harder than me today then! All I did was laundry, freshen up chicken litter, and turn over the compost.

I've been spending so much time building my coop and on here trying to figure out how to frame walls.. my house work has slipped. My husband will gladly clean toilets (for some odd reason...) but getting him to do laundry for the family is no easy task.

Well, crap!! I cant believe you're still sick! That must have been incredibly awful bacteria in the lake! I bet it just wiped out your immune system and you will keep catching stuff for a while. I don't want to sound like your momma- but have you tried some immune boosters like VitC, organge Juice, echinacea, etc?? Anyway, so sorry you are still fighting it!
