I forgot mine, but I was running about 30 min late so I wasn't gonna turn around. Maybe I should have. I am hoping next one will be lovely!

Oh my gosh, you two! LOL! That sounds like something I would have... I mean HAVE done. One time we drove to Hutchinson to the big poultry show they have there and as it turned out it ended the day before!

I'm quite certain the birds who spent the day caged up so I wouldn't have to catch and cage them in the heat thought I had lost my marbles......catching them, taking them for a drive in the heat and then putting them back where I got them.

I still can't believe I didn't remember it was Yoder Days.

Hope I never do it again either.

This morning worked on the coop a bit more- nothing too amazing or I'd share a pic. I got up late because I had a Girls Night Out last night and we were at it pretty late and had a fun time. Need to try to get more work on the coop tonight- this is dragging!

This afternoon, my boys and I met up with MsjFrizzle and I saw her coop and chickens and then we hunted tadpoles. The boys had a blast. We caught the megaladon of all tadpoles- nearly the length of my hand! On the way home, I knew our little frog habitat wasn't going to cut it, so we stopped at Walmart really quick and bought a little aquarium to house them. It has a lid, light and air stone. We also got two little tiny cricket frogs, and they are in there. One already escaped, but I got him back in and covered the hole he came out of. Crazy! haha!

I hope I have more coop progress to be proud of tomorrow. Good thing I still have a month before my babies arrive! I need ALL of that time!

Think positive, Loralee. The weather will surely cool off and make it easier to work out there. I've gotten nothing done I had on my agenda for this summer. DH is off for two weeks but we already wasted one of them doing other things. Something always pops up. My son broke down in Topeka while bringing a trailer back to us yesterday, so he had to run up there and get the trailer and take care of some things there.
I spent the whole afternoon trying to reorganize a room so the window guys could put in windows this week. After all that work I only made it worse I think. I have my hatcher and a bin of pheasant chicks in there, plus I use this for my office. All I can say is I got the chick dust off of most of it for a day or two. I just simply have way too much stuff. I really need a hobby room or something.

Oh- funny about your room that you reorganized and made worse! ha! I love to purge. This last year I spent a lot of time going thru closets, the basement, etc getting rid of stuff. Throwing away stuff and giving it to Goodwill. We got rid of half the stuff in our utility room downstairs. That was awesome. I also cleared out our closet in my bedroom. I got rid of most of my knick knacks too! Now there just isn't much in the house which is a relief. I felt like I was getting buried alive.

I am buried alive. I just can't seem to get rid of stuff. I have lots of clothes that I've never worn that are too small but I keep thinking that someday I'll loose weight and can wear them. That is really stupid since I really don't try. I've got lots of antiques and refuse to sell them. I sold tons for a little of nothing when I moved to the country. My DH is even worse than I am. I used to throw away everything but when I think back so much of it is worth a fortune now. I've kicked myself over and over.
And then there are the birds. I keep saying I want to downsize but keep adding more. Oh Geez! One of those hoarder shows would have a hay day with me I think!

My DH went and picked up my grain today for me. It was supposed to be ready yesterday but the mixer at the co-op broke down. I decided to paint my hallway. I had picked out this very light just a tint of limey colored green paint. Well when I got it on the wall it turned out dark and in your face florescent bright green. It looks really awful!! Of course I'm an hour from any place to buy paint so I am stuck with it until I can find something to cover it.
