Talking about the wood heat. We use one of the outdoor furnaces. Its called a hardy. We boxed in the furnace here in the house, and installed a radiator above the furnace motor. The boiler part of the wood stove uses distilled water, it circulates thru the radiator. When the theromstat calls for heat a little tiny motor kicks on with the furnace motor, and it pumps the hot distilled water and it circulates thru the radiator and goes back to the boiler, and reheats.
No wood or smoke EVER in the house. All stays outside. The warm air goes thru the regular ducts in the house. It also heats the water. Our water heater only acts as a resevoir, Never kicks on unless we let the fire go out.
