Tonya

Welcome back, Tonya! How are things with your mother-in-law?

Awww Danz, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom having such a hard time.

I lost both my in-laws within 2 months of each other (he died from a broken heart after she was gone) and she left us after months and months of illness so although it wasn't MY mom, i can relate to the troubled feelings you are having. My heart hurts for you. *hugs*

I'm sorry, Danz. I will keep you and your mom in my prayers.

Taz- how is your MIL doing? I hope she has improved.

Tweety- I love your blog! It seems like it will be quite entertaining!

I am ready to have the warm weather back. My fingers and knees are really hurting today.

Danz, I've been using the H&R block software for years. After reading the comments about Turbotax I thought I would just compare today & see how it came out. Our bank has the free version on their web site, so I just went through that & we did not come out better, quite the contrary there was about a $300 difference in the refund with Turbotax than H&R block, less that is. So I will just stick with what we've been using & we also have the 5 free filings with ours too. We always end up paying the darned State some more money. Even if we get a refund from Federal we have to pay some of it to the State, grrrr.

Taz, I hope you MIL is doing better.

Tweety, I loved your blog on the Jewel Chicks, so cute!

Brrr, it was so cold today. I had to go out after my DH left for work & work in the garage for hours & my feet are just frozen. I know I will be paying for that tomorrow & I have a lot to do too. I decided I was going to move most of my son's crap to the front so that either he can get it easier or I can move it out of there easier, one of the two. I also had to move his rolling tool box out from the end of the rabbit cages so I could move them all down again & make room for one more stack of cages. I'm trying to get cages put in there for the new rabbits coming this weekend. I've got cages put together, but I'm lacking the legs & tray for one of them. I may have to improvise until they get here. I need 3 empty cages for the new rabbits coming & I have them, just not all the parts yet. I have some trays that my friend gave me with the outdoor rabbit cages, which I will never use for those, so I may try to rig one of those up to use until my other things get here. I'm really excited about getting these rabbits, especially the little babies.

My little hen that I got at Yates Center is doing very well. She got over her mild cold & I have moved her out into the run in a bigger crate. The chickens were all checking her out today & she was checking them out. Oh & she laid me a little egg today, bless her heart. I probably will leave her in the crate until next week & then let her out. I think she was mad at me today for making her stay in there, she was throwing her food bowl around in there. Speaking of eggs, IVY, guess what, my two little lavender Ameraucana hens laid me two eggs today, one is a sky blue & the other is almost green. I had to get down on my knees in the straw & reach into the dog house to get them so they wouldn't get broken. I'm planning to save them & then try to incubate some. I know my black rooster has been busy in there, so I should have some fertile ones. I'm excited! I hope they lay me some more eggs so I can put a few in & try my new incubator. How long can I hold the eggs before I need to put them in?

Hawkeye, how are your eggs coming along?

Thanks everyone. She has been diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer that is inoperable. They are getting her stable and then she will start chemo and radiation, probably next week. I am kind of in a daze. I came home last night before we found out for sure. I was just sitting down there worrying and stressing, so I left yesterday afternoon. Got home about 9, and then my dad is taken to the hospital this morning and ultimately admitted. They are running tests, but think he may have a bad inner ear infection and that is why he can't stand and is having horrible problems with nausea. I hope and pray that is all it is.

I am just trying to stay positive.

Dang. You just can't catch a break. I'm sorry. I will keep your MIL and your dad in my prayers.

I'm sorry to hear your MIL's cancer, Taz. I'll keep your family in my thoughts. Yours, too, Danz.

Karen and Danz, that's too bad about your birds.

Sapphire, Sarge is a cutie!

We always use TurboTax. It's what we used when I worked for the lawyer and it's what my Dad always gets. Of course, we can't itemize so I doubt we'd have trouble with any program that can do the standard deduction math.
