Consolidated Kansas

Yep Danz that's a good description of Danzsizing if I ever heard one, lol. I don't know anything about the La Fleche breed, I'll have to read up on them.

I've been playing musical pens here. I sold my Rhodebar breeding group so I moved the two remaining hens to the main coop for eating eggs. They're such good layers I hated not to keep a couple. After I moved those out I moved my Heritage Barred Rocks to that pen. I sold my extra male guineas last night so I finally had that hoop coop empty. I had plans for moving half of my breeding group of guineas in there so after the males left I took down the wire divider in there & got it all ready for the guineas to move in. Those things are so wild it's really a rodeo catching them. I felt like I had really been in a rodeo by the time I had caught 9 of them & moved them next door to the other hoop coop. They will all have a lot more room now with them divided. I have one male running around the yard I would love to add to the new group but the only way to catch him is to trap him somewhere & so far he is being evasive. I will have to lure him in somewhere with food.

La Fleche are called devil chickens cause they have two horns for their combs. They are also an endangered breed. I got them because I need them for my Breda breeding project. But because they are endangered I may end up just raising some.
I've been playing musical chickens as well. I have some people coming for some this weekend and I want to pull out my keepers ahead of time. I've already sold a couple I planned to keep for my breeders. I just need to add a couple of girls and a couple of back up cockerels. I like to add one or two new girls to each of the breeder pens each year before moving out some old ones. But right now I'm out of pens to use. I am going to have to use the dog kennel for a little while and that means I need to get netting on top of it. I ran out of time yesterday.
I also had to move another group of chicks around yesterday. I have new ones that need to be taken out of the incubator. I also have baby ducks with no place to put them. I need some for an order but I have to hatch some turkeys first.

Danz,
If need be I can take more ducklings from you? :)

Dani I have 4 of them. I had several eggs that didn't hatch. Probably turned up humidity too late. I hate getting them to hatch and then not having them make it out. I've been too darned busy to monitor it all.
I also have a number for a guy who's nearby who bought ducks from me several times. He has 6 drakes he wants to sell. I told him he won't get over $5 each but I'd spread the word. Didn't know if you wanted more to butcher. Let me know and if you do I can get him to show up while you are here. They were hatched last summer for him and a neighbor.

Ok so the bird in question is asil. Now this one

Yep they grow nice and big after that. Not the largest of Malay but still tall. They have very little meat and are lousy layers but they are unique. It's a shame that people choose to fight them. If it's a cockerel you'll have to eventually put it someplace there are no other roosters. I'm in love with these prehistoric looking birds. They also bring a fantastic price but unfortunately most buyers use them for fighting.

Ive wanted some for awhile. And the aseel, asil, whatever way you want to spell it. Im excited to have both now. These are all pullets and hatchery stock so just for fun. If I knew you had them I would have gotten some from you. When i set up my new breeding areas I'd like to come get some nice stock from you to build on.
