Consolidated Kansas

Have Jesse make you a box out of scrap plywood... like a toy box with a lid that can be lifted. It'a a shame you aren't closer to a Menard's than you are. About 3 weeks ago they had a deck box on clearance advertised for like $35. I couldn't believe it. I spent about 4 times that much for my package container.

We have a small deck box down at our gate to hold packages. It has a lid so nothing can get to the packages. I know some others that have them at their gates as well. We have a hilly rough driveway so the delivery trucks don't want to come up any more. It was well worth what we paid for the deck box to ensure our packages are safe & dry. We do have ours chained to a post so it can't blow away or be taken easily.

I keep a gutter nail on the top latch to mine to keep the lid from blowing open. And I have a permanent marker note that says to open the top only. I have double doors on mine on the front and delivery people would leave them open. The smaller boxes usually only have a top lid anyway. I thought of making a wooden one myself for the extra weight. (Mine is actually strapped to the fence line with nylon straps.) But this rubbermaid one I have is holding up a lot better than the less expensive one I got. When it deteriorates I'll probably take the time to make one that will last forever.

We had a couple of really warm but doubly windy days and then yesterday the clouds broke leaving wind rain and hail. Now it's a mud pit out there again and cold today. It gives me an excuse not to spend a lot of time outside working and trying to walk through that mud more than I have to.
I'm trying to get some goslings ready to ship on Monday. People get so impatient until it comes to time to pay and then they fall off the face of the earth!!!

We got snow again last night. Grrrr! That was after 2 days of rain. I've had enough.
I had 16 goslings hatch this week and I now have them all spoken for. Most of them ship but the others will be picked up. Yay! More due this week.
I haven't gone to the goose pen to pick up eggs the last two days due to the weather so I imagine I have some that are frozen. What a waste.
I was a bit sick yesterday and running a fever. I had a little outpatient procedure done on my leg and I think it caused a reaction. It was kind of swollen. I just couldn't make myself go back out and gather eggs. Sure dreading chores today as well.
I need to start my income tax. It's about time!!
@rlh1 I have 4 coops to move if it ever dries up.

Hey there! It’s been a while, but I saw another member had an ad on Hobbly for Rex rabbits. I believe Dani4Hedgies??? I have a lead on Rex rabbits as I purchased two Rex does. I am looking for an unrelated standard Rex buck. I also have two Havana does and am looking for a Havana buck. Any help is appreciated!

You might check on the swap sites on Facebook, there are a lot of rabbits there.
