Consolidated Kansas

Aw! Thanks so much for posting that. She is adorable. Of course I'm very partial to masked Pyrs. I've wondered how she was doing. My dogs love the water. These two youngest dames especially. Funny you can't keep them out of water but try giving them a bath and you'd think it was the worst thing they ever endured. I gave up doing that years ago.
I have another litter 3 weeks old from Tori my other female, which was a total surprise. She wasn't supposed to be able to have pups. Then there was some late pregnancy problems and it put her in high risk having the pups. But she had them without a hitch and the pups are super healthy. This is her second and will be her last litter, even though she's a great Mom.
Then this week Asha, your pup's mom got bred again. I had no place to kennel her and I needed her to work so even though I certainly didn't want pups again this soon, we'll be having another litter in December. Too bad they don't make birth control pills for dogs! I really wanted to wait about 2 years before having another litter of pups.

Hello NE Kansas folks, I'm posting on behalf of a friend here in Lawrence who needs to give up some of her backyard chickens after repeated complaints from a neighbor. I believe there are Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rocks and ? They are not show chickens, but have been well-taken care of, are friendly and healthy I believe. If anyone is interested PM me. She is adamant that they not go into the pot!

I can't stand following a bunch of different threads that only get hit occasionally...

I'd like to form a consolidated Kansas thread and point the other Kansas threads to it- so this is the new Consolidated Kansas thread, and I'll post a link to it on the other threads.

Hooray!! Go Oz chickens!!!
Is this thread still going? I would love to hear from others in the Kansas flock!

It is. It's just been very slow this year. I think it was a really bad year for poultry because of the weather conditions. Here's hoping things turn around this year.
Welcome and tell us about yourself!!!

Having chickens has certainly gained popularity. I wonder if sometimes people are reluctant to post because they just research on BYC instead. But we all like talking about our birds and helping others.
