Consolidated Kansas

Anyone in need of Silkies, pm me- I have lovely 6 wk olds from CJSilkies available. Blue, Splash, White, one Showgirl, and some Partridge.

The sale in Yates center was easy to find today. I found a map of the city online and it clearly showed the fair grounds on the west side of town on Hwy 75. We just had to go south on 59 (which we live 1.5 mi off of) then 169 south of Garnett and it took us right thru Iola to Yates center. It was a wonderful day for the drive. The sale wasn't quite what I expected but I enjoyed it and I was glad we went. Iola has a really nice A&W and the food was good. Haven't been to an A&W in decades! I was surprised at the condition of some of the birds at the sale. Also surprised that they went so cheap. I wish they'd been up where I could really see them instead of on the ground. Wow, I'd never seen an alpacka before! With those huge dark eyes and tufts of hair they really were fun to watch. My two granddaughters were scared the Llamas were going to spit on them. One had big buck teeth and it was hard to stop watching it. It was so stinkin cute! Sure were some beautiful goats and sheep there too. It was an enjoyable experience, and we didn't have to pay anything for what we did. I'll be hitting more of these events in the future.

CarolAnn-The prices were awesome! i got a pair of silver bahama pintails for $80!
Kramers Farm-Do you know if any of the tree ducks or widgeons were brought today?
or if any didn't sell? The only thing i saw today were the marbled teal, ruddy shelduck, and the rosy billed pochards.

Thank you. when i walked into the barn and looked at the birds as soon as i saw them i knew thats what i was going to get. Kinda sucks though. I don't have a true quarantine pen right now so they are stuck in the cage for a few days until i can get my new aviary finished and then they can go into the old aviary.

You may want to get out your manual and update the time/date on your camera.

Do I understand correctly. When you buy at a swap you buy the cage the birds are in as well?
