Renee - it sounds like your feed would be well worth a trip north but how much or how little could we get at a time? I'm in the how little category, with only 3 hens. I've been mixing my own from the greener pastures recipe, but yours sounds much better. If anyone else down my way would like some next time around, I'd be very tempted to make the trip to Lawrence, then stop by Osawatomie to see my sister. Do let us know when you're mixing again. I'd sure like to work out something.
Some one needs to tell Daren to boil hot water and get clean sheets shreded. So Daren (notice I spelled it correctly) how many boxes of babies do you have going now?

I'm interested in trying it. If you can figure out the transportation aspect, we could certainly work out the quantity aspect. I've no issues buying in 50lb quantities and splitting out.
You know I've got a few more than 3 hens. How much cargo space do you have?
Right now I'm buying a bunch of different things and mixing my own scratch to supplement. It's a royal pain.
I'm really interested in trying it but transportation is a factor for me as well. Not just the cost of the gas but tolls between here and Wichita, make it cost-prohibitive unless I were making the trip anyway (and I don't see a trip in that direction in my immediate future). So for the Wichita contingent (and Katy because where you are is doable from here), perhaps we can pool together and let it be known if one of us is going that direction and pick up feed for everyone while we're there?

Tammy, if you get some and are going to be in Osowatomie, please let me know. I could probably get in on some
